Hi Guys--I was a regular member for years.Flights for me were on Sundays and on a week day when I used to cut the grass.I sold all my models 3 yrs ago when I shifted to Thailand. Since then I have been busy with a new house so up to now only have the following------
one 44'' foamy EP trainer---Dont really get a thrill out of flying this but it was something quick and easy to build without a workshop and yes ,it is fun,and we get very little wind here
No 2 is my old favourite an Astra "Hog"with a Saito 91 up front---love 4 strokes---but being a bit overpowered it is a job to get the Saito to tick over low enough to keep the bloody thing standing still on the ground. The great sound when its cruising around on half throttle is music.
No 3 is a nearly finished Super Lazy Ace DL50 powered .If you do not know it,it's a 8foot span bi-plane designed by an eminent American modeller Chuck Cunningham, who died just a few yrs ago.I have had the plans for about 6 yrs but have not had the time for a scratch build ,especially of this size, until the last year or two. There have been a lot of hold ups due the parts and materials not being available here, but I am on the last leg and anxious to get it in the air.OK I hope you enjoy my little bit--------Dougal
